Juncker: Deconstructed
In an effort not to be just another boring biographical blow job, nor hit piece, because only truly gifted writers can avoid the dilemma in a literary figure-laden neutrality which is also interesting, I have taken a number of quotes from Jean Paul Juncker, and will leave the conclusions up to each and every one of you: the two people who read my stuff.
Personally, if you want to know how I feel, it seems that his support of EU is due to his role having created it, especially, during the years prior to EU, when, he served in the old Conseil De L'Europa, which at the time, was located in Luxembourg (now, it is in Brussels). Luxembourg, of course, is Juncker's home, where he arose as a prominent politico to begin with.
People as notable as John Cleese, former Python, have mused aloud about what they wish would happen to Juncker, whose elitism can be offensive. Whoops...
So, without further ado....
"When the going gets tough...you have to lie."
-11/12/14: or, in Europe, 12/11/14. But American way from here on out, OK?
"I am ready to be insulted for being insufficiently democratic, but I want to be serious: I am for dark debates."
Dark, in this quote, almost certainly means, "secret".
-7/15/14
"There can be no choice against EU treaties. One cannot exit the EU without exiting the Euro."
-2/1/15
"I don't think Spain will need external help."
(Note: THEY DID, AND STILL DO! €32 billion by the end of June is being loaned to Spain.)
-12/31/16
"I hope Britain rejoins the EU."
-3/10/17
"We decide on something, leave it lying around, and wait to see what happens. If no one kicks up a fuss, because most people don't understand what has been decided, we continue, step by step, until there is no turning back."
- 1999, (note, I could not locate a month nor day.)
This was said in the old Conseil De L'Europa, while EU was still in the planning stages. This quote exposes the lie of EU being sixty years old.
"English may be a thing of the past, soon."
-3/10/17
These quotes paint a portrait of a very common trait among EU figures, as well as leave no room for conclusions that are, shall we say, more fascist, and less centrist?
But this is EU, Globalism's crowning achievement, and the insides of one of the people guiding its out of touch political machinery...
